First Nigerian National Economics Olympiad to hold in May 2021

The annual competition in economics organized for high school students. Intended to stimulate the activities of students interested in economics, business, and finance by the way of creative problem-solving.

Next International Economics Olympiad will be held from 26 July till 1 August and hosted by Latvia.

The International Academy for the Gifted (IAGIFTED) presents her greetings. IAGIFTED is a Non-Governmental Organization comprising of seasoned educationists who are committed to the identification, classification, stratification and fortification of the gifted black children in Africa and the Diaspora.

IAGIFTED is pleased to inform you that the Nigerian Team will participate in the 2021 edition of the International Economics Olymiad.

The selection process will start with 2021 NATIONAL ECONOMICS OLYMPIAD. There will be three categories: Junior (JSS I and JSS II), Intermediate (JSS III and SSS I) and Senior (SSS II and SSS III).

Participation Cost: @N1,000.00

Certificates of participation will be issued to students who participate in the contests while Certificate of Excellence will be issued by IAGIFTED to those who score 60 % and above.

  • FIRST ROUND: 1ST MAY, 2021
  • SECOND ROUND: 15TH MAY, 2021
  • THIRD ROUND: 29TH MAY, 2021
  • FOURTH ROUND: This selection process will be through an online financial game.
