What We Do
Kangourou Sans Frontières Maths Contest

Kangourou sans Frontières is an independent association, whose purpose is to organize the annual Kangourou contest with the aim of promoting mathematics among young people around the world. The KSF competition has over 6 million participants annually from over 70 countries in the world.

The contest is organized in Nigeria by our organization. Students from Primary one through Senior Secondary School 3 (SS3) are invited to participate in various categories.

The contest consists of a multiple choice test of twenty-four or thirty questions of increasing difficulty. For each question a choice of five answers is provided.

Students participate in the following categories:

  • PRE-ECOLIER- Primary 1 & 2
  • ECOLIER- Primary 3 & 4
  • BENJAMIN- Primary 5 & 6
  • CADET- JSS1 & JSS2
  • JUNIOR- JSS3 & SS1
  • STUDENT-SS2 & SS3

Certificates of merit are awarded to the top performing students and certificates of participation given to every student.

Academic Value

  • To expose students to interesting math problem which are designed by internationally renowned math educators.
  • To enhance the skills and fortify students for effective performance in international examinations.
  • To allow students to apply their knowledge in Mathematics that they have learned in school.
